Fall seems to be many people’s favourite season of the year. We’re blessed to live in Canada where we truly get to experience the beauty of every season. Autumn in Ontario has certainly not been a disappointment this year. From the warm temperatures to the colourful canvas of the trees, it’s been astonishingly beautiful. If you haven’t had a chance to get out and see the beauty all around us, don’t wait! In addition to our fall mini sessions, we had some fun capturing aerial footage of the autumn landscape that you can see here.

When I went out scouting locations for this year’s fall mini sessions, it was so difficult to select a location. Everywhere I went was so rich and colourful! The tapestry was all set for a beautiful landscape; all I needed was the weather to cooperate which it absolutely did!

One of my favourite aspects of mini sessions, especially fall mini sessions, is the decor. I love designing! I can’t wait to create a set that will frame my families and complement the season. I had a lot of fun shopping and sourcing the various pieces of this season’s set with my children. They loved picking out the pumpkins and corn and we have some fantastic local farmers that make their bounty so accessible. While I love a beautifully staged set, I also enjoy the natural beauty all around the GTA so this year’s fall mini sessions incorporated a little of both – the stage as well as the scenery.

Before I go I have to give a big shout out to the wonderful families who joined us this year and let me capture these moments for them. I’m thankful for being able to do what I love while giving them memories to remember and photos to cherish as their children get older. I wouldn’t enjoy this half as much if it weren’t for each of them!

Happy autumn!
